Arena Farnborough Approved

So today, we received planning approval for a series of works at Arena Farnborough.

- Extension to existing reception comprising of new glass façade and a new zinc roof.

- Undercroft conversion into quiet lounge, which consists of new glazing, zinc facade.

- Place arrays of PV Panels on roofs of north and south blocks

- Add flat roof canopy to eastern entrance

- Create new green space at eastern entrance to building

- Remove glazing on west and east elevations of central block.

- Replace all office windows with green tinted glazing

- Add new louvre facades consisting of aluminium frame, aluminium horizontal louvres and cedar vertical louvres

- Replace redundant air conditioning units with up to date units

Just as well we got it since works have started and our office has almost completed the building regulations package. The Designer's Risk Assessment written by myself also completed. Photos to come as soon as it's built! Roughly 10 years ago, I started my architecture career. Since the start, I've made mistakes and also made some triumphs, but none of those compare to this. Arena Farnborough is, to date, my biggest approved project to date...
