After the interview at University of Cardiff, lunch was had at the diner inside the building designed by Flanagan Lawrence, a beautiful addition to a city that already has an impressive array of architecture, old and new.
Originally the winner of an international competition in 2007, it was an existing building now with a new façade as part of the modernisation. It contains a450 seat chamber concert hall, a 160 seat courtyard theatre, along with studio, teaching, rehearsal and foyer spaces.
The building is situated just to the West of the Grade I listed buildings of Cardiff University and has views across to Cathays Park.
